Married to:

My beautiful bride, Linaya on June 1, 2001.

Children:

Linaya and I have three world-changers: Bryce, Gavin and Lilly.

What I do for fun:

Workout at the gym, ride my Harley-Davidson, hike, read books, and go on day-trip adventures with Linaya and the kiddos.

What I like to eat:

Breakfast, brunch and “brinner” (breakfast any time, any day).

Movies I recommend:

For me, the music composition and underscore is everything. Tron: Legacy, Interstellar, and The Mission are pretty epic movies. The Family Man (yes, I love Nicolas Cage’s romantic comedy-drama), Unbroken (Louis “Louie” Zamperini’s life story) and The Walk (true story of Philippe Petit’s tight-wire walk between the Twin Towers) are some of my favorites.

Where I like to travel:

Israel is probably one of my favorite places to have traveled internationally. I also really enjoy the culture, food, and fashion of the Mediterranean region. Of course, Palm Desert and SoCal are much closer getaways of choice. I will gladly send my warmest greetings to you from the 117 degree desert any day.

A book that has impacted my life:

There are so many… Into the Silent Land: A Guide to the Christian Practice of Contemplation by Martin Laird has impacted my prayer life and contemplative disciplines more than any other book. Having met her three months before she died back in 1997, Mother Teresa’s No Greater Love has deeply impacted me ministerially. I try to read this book at least once every year. Of course, The Power of Positive Thinking by Dr. Norman Vincent Peale is a classic that has changed the psychological trajectory of my life as well.

Favorite Bible verse:

He must increase, but I must decrease. -John 3:30 KJV

Favorite quote:

“When I pray, coincidences happen; when I don’t, they don’t.” -William Temple, Archbishop of Canterbury
