A Look At Spiritual Warfare

The reason the Son of God appeared was to destroy the devil’s work. 1 John 3:8
A Personal Invite From Pastor Steve Pecota
It’s far too easy for believers to forget that we have a real enemy and that Jesus came to defeat that enemy. On the other hand, we sometimes obsessively focus on Satan, granting him more authority and influence than what he deserves.
C.S. Lewis famously wrote: “There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors and hail a materialist or a magician with the same delight.”
I have felt for some time that we needed more instruction about how Satan affects us and how his strongholds can be torn down. My good friend and pastoral colleague, Perry Burkholder, has been very effective in helping believers to understand the authority they are granted in spiritual warfare.
I’m thrilled that Perry is coming to share at CCA. Please plan to join us on Sunday morning, March 24 (10:30 am) to learn from his excellent teaching.
And please plan to come back on Sunday evening at 6 pm as Perry not only teaches about overcoming spiritual strongholds, but as he and members of his congregation pray with us for those strongholds to be torn down.
There are too many areas in which Satan holds God’s people and those who we love captive. It’s time for us to fight back in a very intentional way.
I’m expecting God to work powerfully. Come with faith in your hearts!
